About the Housing Tax Credit Program<\/SPAN><\/P>

The Housing Tax Credit program is administered by Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (<\/SPAN>https://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/<\/SPAN><\/A>). The program awards tax credits to eligible participants in order to offset a portion of their federal tax liability in exchange for the production or preservation of affordable rental housing. Investors benefit from the reduced tax liability in exchange for their investment and communities benefit from quality developments that are required to operate as rent restricted housing for up to 30 years or more. <\/SPAN><\/P>
