The Vision SMTX Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the San Marcos City Council on October 15, 2024. The Plan is a vision and policy document intended to guide the growth and evolution of the City for the next 20-30 years. It is based on community input and feedback and includes the community’s vision for a variety of physical and programmatic areas that influence how San Marcos evolves and grows in the years ahead.

As a part of this plan, the Preferred Growth Scenario established 17 mixed-use centers distributed throughout the community. While several of these centers already exist, many are only partially developed, undeveloped, or single use commercial areas today. Three scales of mixed-use centers were identified and mapped as a critical part of the Preferred Growth Scenario: Regional Centers, Community Centers, and Neighborhood Centers.

This feature was originally created by MIG, consultants for the Vision SMTX Comprehensive Plan project.

|
